Memphis women’s golf finished in ninth place at the Ironwood Invitational, according to an April 7 announcement. The event took place at Ironwood Golf & Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina.

The team posted the sixth-best score of Tuesday’s final round with a combined 9-over par, providing momentum as they head into postseason play. One Memphis golfer led the team by shooting a 1-over on Wednesday and securing her third top-15 finish of the season.

All four counted scores for Memphis were 4-over or better during the final round. Two players each recorded rounds of 2-over, fueled by multiple birdies. All five competitors improved their scores compared to earlier rounds, helping Memphis close out its regular season on a positive note.

East Carolina won the tournament with a total score of +13, followed by Charleston (+25) and Georgia State (+26). Memphis finished with a total score of +51, placing them ahead of Elon and Old Dominion among others in the field.
