The Memphis women’s golf team is set to compete in the Southern California Invitational this week, marking their return to action after a nearly three-week break. The tournament will take place at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo, California, from March 8 to March 10. Hosted by Morehead State, the event features a stroke play format across 54 holes, with each team playing five golfers and counting the best four scores per round.
The course for the event is a par-71 layout measuring 5,905 yards. Memphis last competed at the Great River Cup in Monroe, Louisiana, where they finished second in a match-play format.
Participating teams in the Southern California Invitational include Cal State Bakersfield, Murray State, Creighton, Notre Dame, Eastern Washington, Western Michigan, Nebraska, South Dakota, Lehigh, Lindenwood, Cal State Northridge, North Dakota State, Memphis and Providence.
