Shelby County Sheriff's Office Participated in the April 14 Feed the Needy Easter Annual Food Distribution

Dozens of Law Enforcement Deputies and Corrections Deputies from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office participated in the April 14 Feed the Needy Easter annual food distribution. This SCSO group of volunteers included Chief Deputy Scott Wright, SCSO personnel from the Jail Division, Patrol, Detectives, Civil Levy, Fugitive, Courts, Training Academy, Jail Recruit Class #83, Deputy Sheriff’s Association, and Community Relations. 3,100 boxes were distributed county-wide and 435 boxes were hand-delivered distributed by SCSO staff. These boxes for the needy contained: whole ham, corn, green beans, yams, greens, dinner rolls, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, jiffy cornbread, cake mix, frosting, cooking oil, mashed potatoes, and rice. Thank you to Tora Newton and everyone else who helped plan and organize this special event.
