Shelby County Sheriff's Office Hopeworks Adult Education Program

Chief Jailer Kirk Fields and members of his Jail Division Command Staff attended yesterday’s graduation ceremony for 13 SCSO jail detainees; 10 men from the Main Jail and three women from Jail East. These graduates successfully earned their high school GEDs from the HopeWorks Adult Education Program. Family and friends gathered at the Church of Christ in Whitehaven to virtually view the ceremony that occurred in two different locations inside the SCSO jails.  The HopeWorks Adult Education Program also partners with local businesses in Shelby County and can assist these new graduates in finding quality jobs upon their release from jail.  The SCSO is thankful for the efforts by Hopeworks to make positive improvements in the lives of these jail detainees.
