Shelby County Sheriff's Office Jail East Officers of the Month

During the month of July, three deserving Corrections Deputies were selected by their supervisors for Jail East Officers of the Month.

- Officer Ra’Ricus Washington was selected by Sergeant Shelia McNeil on the morning shift for the great job he does with the youth at Jail East. Officer Washington supervises the youth’s daily activities -- school, art, and crafts sessions -- and ensures that they are safe. Officer Washington displays good work ethic, is always a team player, and is willing to assist his coworkers. Officer Washington’s hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated.

- Sergeant Talisha Halliburton selected Officer Sean Loyd on the afternoon shift for the hard work he displays supervising the youths. Officer Loyd talks with the youth, assisting them daily with problem solving. Officer Loyd assists them on how to display better communication skills and keeps them focused on their school work. Officer Loyd’s hard work does not go unnoticed and we are honored to work with such a dedicated officer.

- Officer Alexus Alamin was selected by Sergeant Phyllis Brown on the afternoon shift. Officer Alamin exhibits outstanding teamwork with her coworkers. She shows dedication while conducting her daily duties supervising the Special Management Housing Unit. Officer Alamin ensures that daily pod operations are followed. She is patient, fair, consistent with the inmates, and she is always willing to assist in any area of the facility.
