Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Jr., Chief Deputy Claude Robinson, and staff from the SCSO Training Academy congratulate members of the Law Enforcement Deputy Lateral Class that graduated November 16 in a ceremony held at the academy. These three individuals had already served in other agencies, and they completed five weeks of additional training upon transferring to become SCSO Law Enforcement Deputies. Congratulations to Deputies Cornell Grayer (from Memphis PD), Anthony Hugoboom (from Germantown PD), and Johnny Vo (from Germantown PD). Thank you to Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert for administering the oath of office and Chaplain Danny Frizzell for offering encouraging words and prayer. “We have a tough job,” said Sheriff Bonner to the deputies. “We stand on the front lines between peace and chaos.”
