Congrats to Detective Matthew Grilliot | Bartlett Police Department
Congrats to Detective Matthew Grilliot for officer of the month of November 2022.
Detective Grilliot was promoted to Detective in January 2022, and during that short time, he exceeded his supervisor's expectations of a first-year detective. In his first year, Detective Grilliot worked a bank robbery, which occurred in March of 2022 that led to an arrest of the suspect as well as the case being accepted by the U.S. Attorney's office. Detective Grilliot worked on a shooting that led to two suspects being charged with criminal attempt homicide in October of 2022. Detective Grilliot was assigned a robbery case on November 14, 2022 and was able to identify the suspect responsible, execute a search warrant at the suspects home, and take the suspect into custody by Friday November 18, 2022.
Detective Grilliot has also worked on several robberies, aggravated assaults, numerous motor vehicle thefts, and theft from motor
vehicle cases that have led to arrests and indictments of suspects. Detective Grilliot has one of the larger caseloads of the Investigative Services Division but he also maintains one of the highest solve rates for crimes that are typically very difficult to solve.
