Shelby County Sheriff's Office New Recruits | Shelby County Sheriff's Office

Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Jr. and his corrections and law enforcement command staff welcomed new recruits February 17 for both corrections and law enforcement classes, as well as for a new group of dispatchers. Each of these recruit training classes began last week at the SCSO Training Academy. Sheriff Bonner encouraged each recruit to work and train hard and to maintain the utmost discipline and integrity. The Corrections Deputy will last 11 weeks, the Law Enforcement training will take 26 weeks, and Dispatcher training last 4 weeks, followed by six months of on-the-job training.
